"Perfectly Achieved Physical Theatre... Immensely Evocative"
|
We create new work influenced by a diverse range of cultural and theatrical disciplines from around the world to create dynamic and original theatre both in form and narrative.
With an international ensemble of actors, musicians, dancers and writers, we create ambitious work exploring both comedy and tragedy - playfully engaging with the complexities of our humanity and contemporary culture. With a range of shows both for family audiences, and adults we create with visually striking imagery and playful comedy that aims to exploit the visual and immediate nature of theatre. We also engage with our communities through workshops, sharings and community co-creation collaborating to deliver this with our partners across Sussex - believing that creativity and culture belong to us all. We also aim to support our artistic community through workshops for actors and performers led by our creative team. Collaborating with Brighton Clown School, we also co-host financially accessible workshops with world leading artists and theatre makers. The Ensemble emerged as an offshoot of the Thirdspace Theatre where company members created critically acclaimed work for the Brighton Dome and Festival with Tanushka Marah who acts as a mentor and artistic consultant to the company. The company has since welcomed new collaborators from both the UK and Internationally - making for a truly exciting ensemble of performers with a diverse range of skills and experiences that are brought to our work. |
